Monthly Update May 2025

Last Month's Highlights

The Greater Philadelphia Chinese Cultural Club came out to challenge us on April 19th. We used a format that had each player playing 2 singles and 1 doubles. Each match win counted towards the club's total score to determine a winner. Phoenixville came out on top 24-5 and won both Golden Games. You can check out photos here.

At the PA State Closed Championships, James took 1st place in the U1600 and U1250 with Rahul getting 2nd in the U1600 and Shata 2nd in the U1250. Jameson took 2nd in the Open and 1st in Open Doubles! Congratulations guys!

There is a running archive of winners in a spreadsheet and photo album that you can always find through our website.

Just for fun we were going to hold the Rahul Kapoor NO PIPS Championship where pips and antispin players may not use their unique gear. But Rahul is recovering from injury so that was postponed. In its place the two styles were setup on opposite sides of a single elimination bracket. The best unique style player, Tim, bettered the more ubiquitous inverted style player, Robert, proving that pips is best. Tim also won the Guess Which Hand The Ball Is In Tournament on April Fool's day.

Grab a bag tag! Simple concept. Your goal is to hold on to the lowest number. You know, "I'm number one!" Openly challenge another player holding a lower numbered tag. If you win, you exchange tags! Battle it out to see how low you can go before the end of the year. This was borrowed from disc golf. You can find more details here.
